 JXNEWS March,14(Nanchang)  On March 14, an exhibition of ¡°To modern¡ªThree hundred years of British Art¡± officially kicked off in Nanchang, Jiangxi Provincial Museum. This exhibition comprehensively showed the development of British painting since mid-18th century. Nanchang citizens can enjoy the masterpieces of great artists in the world for free.

 

It is understood that the exhibition showed 80 works of art collected by 18 museums and collections agencies in northwest England, including oil paintings, prints, watercolors, drawings and sculpture. Audience can get a taste of British art evolution from the Rococo to neo-classical, impressionist, modernist and post-modernist and feel the spiritual heritage of the industrial revolution brought to the UK.

 

The exhibition was co-hosted by the Jiangxi Provincial Museum, World Art Museum of the China Millennium Monument, United Kingdom Manchester Museum Union, the Union of British international tour, and British Berry Museum of Art, according to the organizers. During the exhibition, art lectures, activities such as painting copying game will be held in the provincial museum.
